On Tuesday, October 20, The Citizen Watch Company of America launched a new piece of technology called the Satellite Wave-World Time GPS. This GPS technology will have the fastest GPS sync time to date and includes worldwide reception.
The launch of the revolutionized technology in their marvelous timepiece was celebrated in New York City at Time Square. The event hosted by Citizen was called “Time, Space and Innovation,” associating all their grant accomplishments within the world of watches and technology.
Professor of physics and mathematics at Columbia University, Brian Greene, engulfed the audience with his perspective on “Time and Einstein”. Besides being a credited professor, Greene is a successful author and has written several books whereof The Elegant Universe, The Fabric of the Cosmos and The Hidden Reality collectively have spent 65 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
Artist Michael Benson also spoke at the event and premiered images from “Otherworlds: Visions of Our Solar System.” This exhibition will be opening for the interested at the Natural History Museum in London next year.
Provided by Oded Aharonson, there was an illuminating perspective of the mystery of telling time in space. Aharonson is the professor of earth and planetary sciences at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Also, Professor Aharonson has been working with NASA on many occasions, investigating flight missions like the Mars Exploration Rovers and Cassini Mission to Saturn.
